This Week: Being Good to People

Using the analogy of Muslims - they tend to invite the needy, poor and vulnerable. Conversely us Nigerian (Christians) are guilty of inviting people on our level and with our high tables - we perpetuate the class system.

The key message here is to do things for those who are vulnerable - as in heaven God will be pay us back - Luke 14 vs 13-14.

John 5:28-30 God will judge us by the testimony of people whom we have done things to - invite those to come to eat - so that when you invite them the reward will be given to you in heaven : Do you want to get more from life or trying to be blessed - be a blessing to somebody ( in my opinion) this is contrary to what the real world is about - i.e. the spiritual world vs the real world. If one does this for 6 weeks in a row you cannot count the blessing that you will receive in return.

Prayer: Lord Jesus empower me to meet others needs and God will meet our needs.

Ask the Question: "Who will I use my character to bring to Christ today?"

Prayer: As you added laughter the life of Sarah add the laughter to my life.


It is easy to be good to people who are good to us! But try to be good to people who aren't good to us - as this shows God! Even the unsaved do this.

God sees all the time we went out of our way to help people - God sees us and is the rewarder of what we have done.

Matthew 6:4  Do good things in secret essentially. Bible says in the last days - the love things will be no more. We lack of love - it is hatred.

Proverbs 19: 27 Giving to the poor and God gives a reward to the lender.

When we start showing love there will be no more Boko Haram, ISIS

Matthew 24:12: - Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold.

Luke 19 vs 5-6 : -  Jesus changed Zacchaeus's life for him.

Luke 6 vs 27 -36    Turn the other cheek, Don't ask back, ie when business - do not owe anyone money, Even sinners love each other ( ie Muslims - still love each other). Being son's of God - being able to give without expecting anything is the greatest way - Looking at rain shows God's anger. be merciful as father is merciful!

Luke 10 vs 27-37  Love God as yourself in heaven etc.
